Rusty Harmon is a music business veteran from North Carolina who fell in love with the industry while working at his college radio station at NC State University. He soon met the first band he would manage, Hootie and the Blowfish, and guided their career through 25 million records sold, three #1 releases, and awards including multiple GRAMMYs, an MTV Music Award, and Billboard’s Artist of the Year.

Harmon managed additional chart-topping artists including Colt Ford, Lacs, Jason Michael Carroll, and GRAMMY-nominated Reckless Kelly. His wide-ranging music experience includes management, record labels, distribution, publishing, and marketing at companies including Average Joe’s Management, and his own Harmon Music Management. Rusty served as the president of Atlantic Records imprint Breaking Records and created significant brand partnerships for many of his artists.

In 2020, Harmon and his associate Alyssa Logan teamed to form the nucleus of Vere Music, a unique label services company with global distribution from ADA Worldwide. Vere offers customizable services including digital marketing, product management, radio promotion, sync licensing, content creation, and global music distribution through a partnership with Warner Music Group’s independent distribution arm ADA Worldwide. An eternal Beatles fan, Harmon and his family reside in Nashville.
