In this special episode I’m joined by touring veteran Ryan Philip George and clinical psychologist Dr. Chayim Newman, core members of the team behind the Tour Health Research Inititiative.

Launched by a small team of psychologists, researchers, and touring professionals who work closely with and care deeply about the well-being of touring personnel, they are committed to the development of scientific, evidence-based strategies to improve the health and mental health of touring artists and crew members.

ERIK ROGERS

Erik Rogers is a FOH Audio Engineer based in Florida who has been touring steadily for the last 15 years.

He has spent the greater part of this year on the road with Godsmack and is preparing for another North American run to finish out the year.

Throughout his career he has worked with Hunter Hayes, Testament, Death Angel, Avenged Sevenfold, Scott Stapp, and many more.

TIFFANY HENDREN

TIFFANY HENDREN

Tiffany Hendren is a full-time FOH Engineer currently based out of St. Louis.

Performing and being in a band is what initially drove Tiffany into live music, but she realized that the combination of that passion and her interest in computers and engineering might just hold other options for her. After a few years in the military, she moved back to St. Louis and began searching for the right job in the industry.

Ryan Philip George

Ryan Philip George is a guitar and keyboard tech and one of the founders of thistourlife.com. Ryan is a graduate of Temple University and got his start in the music business in Philadelphia at Centerstaging in 2001, where he became well versed in all aspects of Backline.

A few short years later he accepted his first touring gig as keyboard/computer tech on Beckʼs Guero tour. Since then, he has been touring full-time for such artists as Jack White, Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, MGMT, Death Cab For Cutie, Macklemore and more.
